New year eve

To gate job updates Click here
In the Gregorian calendar, New Year's Eve (also known as Old Year's Day or Saint Sylvester's Day in many countries), the last day of the year, is on 31 December which is the seventh day of Christmastide. In many countries, New Year's Eve is celebrated at evening social gatherings, where many people dance, eat, drink alcoholic beverages, and watch or light fireworks to mark the new year. Some Christians attend a watchnight service. The celebrations generally go on past midnight into New Year's Day, 1 January.
Samoa, Tonga and Kiritimati (Christmas Island), part of Kiribati, are the first places to welcome the New Year while American Samoa and Baker Island in the United States of America are among the last.
NEW YEAR EVE IN VARIOUS PLACE :-
Americas
Argentina:

Traditional burning of the doll in the city of La Plata. Image of the dummy during the burning.
Traditional celebrations in Argentina include a family dinner of traditional dishes, including vitel tonné, asado, sandwiches de miga, piononos. Like dessert: turrón, mantecol and pan dulce.
Just before midnight, people flock to the streets to enjoy fireworks and light firecrackers. The fireworks can be seen in any terrace. The first day of the New Year is celebrated at midnight with cider or champagne. People wish each other a happy New Year, and sometimes share a toast with neighbours. Parties often continue until dawn.

The celebration is during the summer, like in many South American countries, so it's normal to see many families in the New Year at tourist centers of the Argentine Atlantic coast (Mar del Plata, Necochea, Villa Gesell, Miramar, etc.).

Brazil

The beach at Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro hosts millions of revelers.
The New Year (Portuguese: Ano Novo), is one of Brazil's main holidays. It officially marks the beginning of the summer holidays, which last until Carnival. Brazilians traditionally have a copious meal with family or friends at home, in restaurants or private clubs, and consume alcoholic beverages. Champagne is traditionally drunk. Those spending New Year's Eve at the beach usually dress in white, to bring good luck into the new year. Fireworks and eating grapes or lentils are customs associated with the holiday.

The beach at Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro is ranked among the top 10 New Year Fireworks display. The combination of live concerts, a spectacular fireworks display and millions of revelers combine to make the Copacabana's New Year's party one of the best in the world. In addition, the celebrations are broadcast on TV, the most famous being the Adues A Tudo Isso on Rede Globo.

In other regions, different events also take place. The most famous are on the edge of coastal cities, such as Copacabana. In the Northeast, in Fortaleza, the party is in Iracema Beach, and in Salvador, the change of year happens in a great music festival. In the South, the most famous festivities on the coast take place in Santa Catarina: on the Beira-mar Norte Avenue, in Florianópolis, and in the Central Beach of Balneário Camboriú. Other celebrations that stand out even from the sea are those of Manaus, in the northern state of Amazonas, and the Paulista Avenue, in São Paulo, the largest city in the country, and Ministries Esplanade, in the capital Brasília. The party attracts more than one million people. It features fireworks and live music shows.

The city of São Paulo hosts the Saint Silvester Marathon (Corrida de São Silvestre) which traverses streets between Paulista Avenue and the downtown area.

Canada
New Year's Eve traditions and celebrations in Canada vary regionally, but are typically similar to those in the United States, with a focus on social gatherings and public celebrations (such as concerts and fireworks displays).

In 1992, the sketch comedy troupe Royal Canadian Air Farce began airing its annual New Year's Eve special Year of the Farce on CBC Television, which features sketches lampooning the major events and news stories of the year. The 1992 edition was presented as a one-off special, but served as a pilot for a regular Air Farce series that premiered the following year, and ran until 2008. Year of the Farce episodes continued to air annually as part of the series, while the 2008 edition doubled as the program's series finale. One-off Year of the Farce specials have continued to air on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day since, featuring members of the original cast. Since 2016 (with the inaugural edition serving as an official kickoff for the country's sesquicentennial year), CBC has also broadcast a countdown special, focusing on a concert and celebrations at Parliament Hill in the national capital of Ottawa.

Similarly, the CBC's French language network Ici Radio-Canada Télé airs its own yearly New Year's Eve comedy special, Bye Bye. Unlike Year of the Farce, Bye Bye has been presented by various comedians; originally running from 1968 to 1998, it was revived in 2006 by the Québécois troupe Rock et Belles Oreilles. Its 2008 edition, hosted and co-produced by Québécois television personality Véronique Cloutier, was criticized for featuring sketches that viewers perceived as offensive, including sketches making fun of English Canadians and then American president-elect Barack Obama.

How many persons you know in whole life?

Birth to Death - In one lifetime people are known to many people. Many of them are often seen by relatives, neighbors, colleagues or friends. Maybe the number of times you meet with someone But how many people can remember the appearance of them?

One person might answer one by one. Remembering the memory, the ability to remember the face, depending on all this? A team of researchers from New York University of the United States recently conducted a study on this.

They run this research on 25 people between 18 and 61 years old. In the study, participants were asked to write the names of people who have their memories within one hour.

In addition to their close friends, they also wrote the names of people who have talked about Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp sources. Participants in the study. There is no talk, only the names or the appearance of the face - people who were also in that list.
Although the pace of writing at the beginning continues, the pace of writing has slowed down as the number of students progressed. Their brain activity, age, and concentration have all impacted this study. Researchers calculate an entire lifetime based on a one-hour calculation..
Rob Junkins, chief of the research, said: "The age focus and concentration have played a major role in this regard, but it is also seen that, a mature adult, healthy brain can remember the face or face of an average of 5000 people. However, assuming the age ratio, the number of young people touched about 10 thousand. Remembering the face means that everyone can remember the name separately, not everyone is. "

According to the researchers, a study of the number of people in the brain of one person can justify the appearance of people. Researchers at Glasgow University of Scotland, in support of Robkins's team,

MERRY CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

                     pavlova a sweet deserts.
Christmas traditions in Australia and New Zealand have many similarities to British, Irish, American and Canadian traditions, including traditional Christmas symbols featuring winter iconography. This means a red fur-coated Santa Claus riding a sleigh, songs such as "Jingle Bells", and various Christmas scenes on Christmas cards and decorations. However, the timing of Christmas occurring during the Southern Hemisphere's summer season has resulted in the development of some local traditions as a result of the warmer weather.

The traditional Christmas tree is central to Christmas decorations and strings of lights and tinsel are standard. Decorations appear in stores and on streets starting in November, and are commonplace by early December. Many homeowners decorate the exterior of their houses. Displays range from the modest to elaborate, sometimes with hundreds of lights and decorations depicting seasonal motifs such as Christmas trees, Santa Claus, reindeer, or nativity scenes. Particular regions have a tradition for elaborate displays, and attract a great amount of pedestrian and vehicular traffic during the Christmas season. This is despite the longer days, resulting in dusk occurring as late as 9.00 p.m. in the southern latitudes.

Most workplaces conduct a "Christmas Party" some time during December, but rarely on Christmas Eve itself. As many people take their holidays between Christmas and New Year's Day, and many workplaces completely close for that period, these parties are effectively an end of year or break-up party and frequently feature little or no reference to Christmas itself. Likewise, schools, TAFE (vocational training), and universities break for summer holidays. Schools typically end in the week before Christmas, to recommence in late January or early February. Following Christmas, many churches will change their evening meetings to a less formal format, while many hobby clubs also suspend or alter their meetings in this period.

On Christmas Eve, the children are told, Santa Claus visits houses placing presents for children under the Christmas tree or in stockings or sacks which are usually hung by a fireplace. In recent decades many new apartments and homes have been built without traditional combustion fireplaces, however with some innovation the tradition persists. Snacks and beverages (including liquor) may be left out for Santa to consume during his visit. The gifts are opened the next morning, on Christmas Day.

Families traditionally gather for a Christmas Day lunch traditions that include decorated hams, roast turkey, roast chicken, salads and roast vegetables. Christmas crackers are pulled before eating. More recently, as appropriate to the often hotter weather of the day, it has become increasingly popular to serve local seasonal produce such as cold meats, seafood and salad. Similarly, dessert also includes a mix of traditional winter Christmas food (such as plum pudding with brandy butter, fruit mince pies, and trifle) alongside local traditions such as pavlova, a dessert popular in both countries, and fresh fruit such as berries and kiwifruit. Candy canes are a popular confectionery in Australia for the children's table in the Christmas period.

In both countries, Christmas by Michael Bublé re-enters the album charts every year at Christmas time until the new year, generally reaching number 1 or the top 5. Similarly, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey re-enters the singles charts each year in both countries again until the new year.

As Christmas falls in summer, the watching of television is not a strong part of Australian or New Zealand Christmas traditions, unlike in the United Kingdom, in which it is one of the most important days for television ratings. Television ratings in Australia are not taken during the summer and schedules are mostly filled with repeats of old programs or previously cancelled shows. Some locally produced programs have a Christmas special, though often it will be shown early December and not on Christmas Day itself. Many television stations rerun Christmas-themed films in the weeks leading up to and including Christmas Day, such as Miracle on 34th Street, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Polar Express, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas and various film versions of A Christmas Carol.

NEW ZEALAND

The December-flowering pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) is an often-used Christmas symbol in New Zealand.
Christmas Day and Boxing Day are both statutory holidays in New Zealand. While Boxing Day is a standard statutory holiday, Christmas Day is one of the three-and-a-half days of the year where all but the most essential businesses and services must close. Many of New Zealand's Christmas traditions are similar to those of Australia in that they are a mix of United Kingdom and North American traditions conducted in summer. New Zealand celebrates Christmas with mainly traditional northern hemisphere winter imagery, mixed with local imagery. The pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa), which produces large crimson flowers in December, is an often used symbol for Christmas in New Zealand, and subsequently the pohutukawa has become known as the New Zealand Christmas tree.

INDIAN PM ARESSTED

INDIAN PM WAS ARESSTED IN THIS DAY : 19th,December

INDIRA GANDHI
On December 19, 1978, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was arrested on the charges of conspiring to kill all the leaders of the opposition during the Emergency period. This led to a nationwide panic and several protests and one Air India flight was also hijacked Seeing that the nation was getting out of control, Gandhi was finally freed from jail on the night of December 20.

In India, "the Emergency" refers to a 21-month period from 1975 to 1977 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had a state of emergency declared across the country. Officially issued by President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed under Article 352 of the Constitution because of the prevailing "internal disturbance", the Emergency was in effect from 25 June 1975 until its withdrawal on 21 March 1977. The order bestowed upon the Prime Minister the authority to rule by decree, allowing elections to be suspended and civil liberties to be curbed. For much of the Emergency, most of Gandhi's political opponents were imprisoned and the press was censored. Several other human rights violations were reported from the time, including a forced mass-sterilization campaign spearheaded by Sanjay Gandhi, the Prime Minister's son. The Emergency is one of the most controversial periods of independent India's history.

There is a misconception that has been going for a long time that camels store water in their humps as they live in deserts. The truth is that camels actually store water in their bloodstream and the water serves as a source of nutrition when food is not available to them.
The hump of a camel stores fat and if that fat is used by the body, the hump becomes limp and starts drooling off.

Interesting facts about English language

FACTS ABOUT ENGLISH :

"enneacontakaienneagon"  - can you pronounced it?
 its a English word...
. In fact, the meaning of the word is just as bizarre as the word itself: it’s a shape with ninety-nine sides.
Let’s take a look at ten interesting facts about the English language:
  1. “I am” is the shortest complete sentence in the English language.
  2. A pangram sentence is one that contains every letter in the language. For example, the sentence “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” is a pangram
  3. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (*breath*) is NOT the longest word in English. This extra long word (that approximately means “fantastic”) was popularized by the movie Mary Poppins and was eventually added to the dictionary. What you probably didn’t know is that there is a word that is longer—yes longer—than this one. Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is a type of lung disease caused by inhaling ash and dust. Go ahead and try pronouncing that!
  4. There are “ghost words” that mean nothing.
  5. The shortest, oldest, and most commonly used word is “I.”  Medieval manuscripts reveal that some of the oldest words in English are “I,” “we,” “two,” and “three.” This makes “I” one of the shortest and oldest words in the English language. It is also the most commonly used word in English conversations.
  6. There’s a name for words that we repeat often.Words we always use even though they add no meaning or value to a sentence are called crutch words. For example, in the sentence “Then I was like, OMG, then like, he went there, and like…” it is pretty obvious that “like” is the crutch word. “Actually,” “honestly,” and “basically” are also commonly used as crutch words

warmest Year of this decade

THE WARMEST YEAR IN THIS            DECADE

2019 is going to be a warmest year of this decade. because of El Nino and Global pollution.
Basically El Nino comes 3 to 5 years gapping. In the 2019 el nino is coming.
The past three years, from 2015 to 2017, were the warmest ever recorded. And although the current year started off with a moderate La Niña phenomenon—which generally has a cooling effect on global climate—it is going to end up being the fourth warmest year, clearly showing a warming trend.

In fact, the 20 warmest years on record have occurred in the last 22 years. This trend also sits in perfectly with the emission rates of greenhouse gases (GHGs), which were at a record high in 2018 according to the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
The combination of human-caused warming and a natural upswing in temperatures increases the odds that any new El Niño year will be the warmest ever,” climate scientist Michael Mann from Pennsylvania State University
One of the impacts of warmer surface temperatures and more ocean heat will be greater occurrence of extreme weather events such as tropical cyclones, heat waves, floods and droughts. In 2018, there were 70 tropical cyclones all over the world, while the long term average is 53. The world lost more than 5 lakh people to such events in the last 20 years along with an economic loss of US$ 3.47 trillion, according to the latest Global Climate Risk Index 2019 report.

By all indications, 2019 will also be a year of extreme weather which will add to these losses

NAGATO BATTLE SHIP
Nagato was a super-dreadnoughtbattleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy, completed in 1920 as the lead ship of her class. She carried supplies for the survivors of the Great Kantō earthquake in 1923. The ship briefly participated in the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1937 and was the flagship of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, but did not participate in the attack itself. Apart from picking up survivors after the Battle of Midway, the ship spent most of the first two years of the Pacific War training in home waters. She was attacked by American aircraft in the Battle of the Philippine Sea, but did not fire her main armament against enemy vessels until the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944. She was lightly damaged during the battle, but the navy was running out of fuel and did not fully repair her. The only Japanese battleship to survive World War II, the ship was sunk in mid-1946 by nuclear weapon tests during Operation Crossroads
